In addition to the usual pharmacy service of checking and dispensing your prescription we offer additional services such as:

Pharmacy First Service

The Pharmacy First Service offers a drop-in service (no appointment needed) if you have a condition such as a sore throat, earache (in children), sinusitis, impetigo, UTI (in women aged 16-64), shingles and infected insect bites. Our pharmacist can, where appropriate, provide an NHS prescription (free if you are normally exempt from prescription charges) or suggest an alternative approach or referral.

Weight management

If you are concerned about your weight please ask a member of our staff to measure your Body Mass Index (BMI). They can also offer advice and suggest a referral to local weight management service which could also include free membership for a limited period of a slimming group.

Flu jabs

Every year from around mid-September we can provide a flu jab for those patients eligible to receive a free NHS flu jab. A flu jab appointment may be booked or we can usually provide a flu jab immediately without an appointment.

Prescription delivery

We offer a prescription home delivery service to those patients who are not able to get to the pharmacy to collect their prescriptions or have a friend/relative collect on their behalf. There is a small fee for single deliveries and the option to pay for a 'season ticket' if you are likely to receive multiple deliveries.

New Medicines

If you have been prescribed a medicine to treat a long-term condition for the first time, we may (depending on the nature of the condition) be able to provide extra help and advice about your medicine through a free NHS scheme called the New Medicine Service (NMS).

OTC medicines

Our highly trained staff are able to offer help and advice on many common minor ailments. We stock a wide range of 'over the counter' (OTC) medicines which don't require a prescription from a GP and our own brand Numark products are often much cheaper than more famous brand names.
